Following that, your tour guide will take you to Stanley Park, one of North America’s largest urban parks. Stanley Park is full of history, rose gardens, the rowing club, prospect point, 1000-year-old trees to first nations storys. Your guide will give a totem talk on spirit animals and entities, as well as their cultural significance and the surrounding geology. Flowing stanley park we’ll travel through the west end to English bay to view Laughing man and the sourounding areas to visit Vancouver’s elegant residential area, which contains some of the city’s oldest mansions and was established in 1907 by the Canadian Pacific Railway. Lunch is paid by the guests and the venue is determined on the day of the tour by group decision ; your guide will inform you of what is available. Note: Tour buses are no longer permitted at The Granville Island Public Market as of June 4th, 2021. Instead, we offer a walking tour of the Market and its diverse range of retailers, highlighting unique artist products as well as fine produce and hot foods (this portion of the tour is walk in only and is about 3.5 blocks in length) After lunch we drive through our Olympic village established for the 2010 winter olympics then it over the cambie street bridge arriving at Yaletown, the old train repair yards and warehousing district full of trendy resturants and boutique shops then into Chinatown, a history and culture review of the Chinese in Vancouver, and the world’s thinnest commercial building. La Casa Gelato After Chinatown, we have a treat for our visitors: a visit to the world’s largest ice cream shop, which has 238 flavours and is still run by the original Italian family. Then we visit Gastown, Vancouver’s oldest neighbourhood, your guide will tell you about the founder, gassy jack how the area got its name and enjoy a performance from the worlds first steam clock, and that is grand city tour usually finishing at 3:30- 4pm.
